voici un article tiré du Shanghai Daily de ce jour, donc attention pour ceux qui recherhce un job ou un stage sur Shanghai:

"Interns seeking sales jobs beware
Yan Zhen
2006-02-25 Beijing Time
LET the buyer - and the naive intern ordered to buy and then sell to get a job - beware.

Internship seekers should be on alert when being asked to pay first for the recruiter's product sample and then to sell it as part of the job interview process.

Officials with the Shanghai Labor and Social Security Bureau warned yesterday that job applicants were probably unable to sell the products out because of the excessively high price. Nor could they get a job or their application fee back.

Applicants asked to sell a product to get a job have become one of the most frequently reported.

"People should protect their own rights," said Lu Tingfei, an official with the bureau's inspection team.

For instance, a university student surnamed Jiang saw an recruitment ad online last month, saying that a crystal trading company in Pudong was looking for sales interns.

Jiang went for job application at the Shanghai Hudiao Trading Co Ltd and was required to sign a working contract stipulating that he should pay 330 yuan (US$41) for a man-made crystal.

Company managers said that Jiang would get the job and 15 percent commission if he was able to sell the crystal at a certain price. Otherwise, the applicant has to take the crystal himself.

"But I came to find that it was totally impossible to fulfill the task because the price the company charged was much higher than those on the market," said Jiang, who eventually lost both his job and 330 yuan.

Another local job seeker surnamed Yu reported her similar job seeking experience to the labor inspection team.

To apply for a marketing position, Yu was asked to buy a China tea set for 370 yuan earlier this year. The company said that the job would be given only after she sold seven sets.

But she couldn't sell a single set, because of the high price."
